A motivation letter must be added to your application.
1. Copy of ID card or passport with indicated personal data. 2. Curriculum Vitae. 3. Copy of application fee payment (100 EUR for non EU citizens, and 35 EUR for EU citizens). 4. References by two academic referees or researchers from the field of Political sciences. 5. List of research works (publications) and their copies. 6. Research project on the chosen topic from the dissertation topic list of 2016 (hard and soft copy). 7. Certificate of English proficiency: IELTS ≥6.5, TOEFL≥90, ECFR≥C1, or equivalent or a proof of previous studies in English. 8. Other relevant documents (e.g. certification about passed examinations of doctoral studies’ level, certifications concerning various courses, achievements etc.).

Right for Doctoral Studies in this filed of science has been granted for Kaunas University of Technology (KTU) together with The General Jonas Zemaitis Military Academy of Lithuania, Klaipėda University, and Vytautas Magnus University. the coordinating institution is Vytautas Magnus University.
PhD Programme in Political Sciences is carried out at Kaunas University of Technology in the field of Public Policy and Administration. The programme is implemented with the General Jonas Žemaitis Military Academy of Lithuania, Klaipėda University and Vytautas Magnus University. Therefore, research topics can also fall into the fields proposed by the partner institutions, for example, political theory, political communication, comparative politics, and international relations.
Candidates to the doctoral studies in Political Sciences are admitted under procedure of open competition with a prerequisite of a master’s degree or equivalent qualification.
Doctoral studies develop individual research skills, creativity, widen the scope of theoretical knowledge and practical experience while solving the chosen research problems.
