Overview

Understanding economics is essential because it provides a framework for understanding how societies allocate scarce resources to meet the needs and wants of individuals and organizations.

Key features of the program include:

• Comprehensive training in macro & microeconomics, international trade, financial markets, and economic forecasting.
• Hands-on experience using advanced tools like Bloomberg Financial Markets Lab.
• Opportunities for international exchanges and collaboration with global institutions.

Graduates will have the theoretical knowledge and practical skills to pursue careers in business, public administration, financial consulting, investment analysis, or even entrepreneurship. The program also provides a strong foundation for advanced studies in economics.

Values:

“Bloomberg” certificate

During the entire course of your studies, you will always have access to the latest and
most up-to-date Bloomberg analytical data. Additionally, you will be able to obtain the
Bloomberg Market Concepts (BMC) certificate and gain invaluable experience from
working with top international data platforms.

Modern life – modern studies

The program is based not only on facts but on the ever-changing world of the economy.
At the university, you will be approached as a professional who can think critically and
analytically. Here we work as a team and seek new answers to seemingly eternal
questions.

By all means, we will analyse micro and macroeconomics, economic statistics, public
economics and taxation, international economics and trade, regional economics, finance
and accounting analysis, and the issues that come from them.
3/6

While studying, you will be able to choose from one of the 18 blocks of competencies – to
specialise and gain the competitive knowledge needed in this particular block of the
labour market.

Infrastructure

You will join a vibrant and intellectual community where you will always find like-minded
people and an open space for discussion. At KTU we use modern and advanced study
methods including case studies, experimental techniques, business scenario simulations,
and problem-based learning, as well as SPSS, EViews software packages, and the
Bloomberg platform.

Demand on the labour market

Here, you will gather a wider understanding of government policy-making, business
behavior, and constant changes in economic systems around the world.

85% of our students are employed straight after their studies, while others start working
while studying or after completing an internship.

Product and service development

Are you interested in creating real products and services while studying? It is now
possible to test yourself by getting involved in a product development project (PDP).

During the project, you will work in teams, collaborating with KTU researchers and social
partners. While solving current, relevant problems you will improve your teamwork,
project management, and problem-solving skills, deepen your professional knowledge,
and expand your career opportunities.
