You must take verified copies of the entry qualification documents along with you when you finally go to the university. Overview
As political populism, conspiracy theories, “fake news,” and propaganda rapidly grow worldwide, political science faces new challenges that require a comprehensive understanding of the problems. These studies aim to empower society and its individuals to understand and address these challenges. During the studies, critical thinking, complex problem-solving skills, idea generation, leadership, and effective communication abilities will be developed. These are among the most essential competencies for future employees, enabling them to be attractive on the job market, not only in the field of political science.
The study program, which combines three core disciplines of social and humanities sciences, prepares graduates with fundamental knowledge in politics, philosophy, and sociology. They are capable of conducting complex research on social phenomena and data, effectively applying qualitative and quantitative data analysis methods and tools, and analyzing, comparing political and social processes and trends.
Programme structure
This interdisciplinary program integrates three core fields: political science, philosophy, and sociology. It equips graduates with:
· Fundamental knowledge of politics, philosophy, and sociology.
· The ability to analyze social phenomena and data using qualitative and quantitative methods.
· Skills to compare and evaluate political and social processes and trends.
In the 1st Semester, students are introduced to informatics through Informatics 1, study the basics of politics, philosophy, and society in Introduction to Politics, Philosophy, and Society Studies, develop logical reasoning skills in Fundamentals of Logic, gain mathematical proficiency in Mathematics, and explore the historical evolution of political philosophy in History of Political Philosophy. In the 2nd Semester, they delve into political concepts and frameworks in Political Theory, learn statistical methods in Statistics, and examine ethical issues in the digital world through Network Ethics. Students also choose between Sustainable Development or Media Philosophy for their sustainability and philosophy module, and for foreign language development, they select academic and professional communication in English, French, or German. In the 3rd Semester, modules include European Union History and Politics, Quantitative and Qualitative Research Methods in Social Sciences, Comparative Politics, Development of Sociological Thought, and Virtuality and Reality. The 4th Semester covers practical and applied topics like Survey Research, Environment and Society, Social Network and Media Analysis, International Relations, and Public Relations Management and Persuasive Technologies. In the 5th Semester, students study Civil Society and Volunteering,
Political Sociology and Psychology, Political Communication in Media, Philosophy of Propaganda, and Text Analytics. The 6th Semester includes modules on Posthumanism, Sociology and Psychology of Risk, Introduction to Law, Networking Society, and a personalized module selection. In the 7th Semester, students examine Democratization Processes, European Union Foreign and Security Policy, Culture and Ideologies, and Social Policy, and choose an alternative module in political science studies. Finally, the 8th Semester focuses on completing a Bachelor’s Thesis Project and gaining hands-on experience through Professional Practice.

Politics for Society
In the face of digitalization, the development of artificial intelligence, and new, unpredictable crises, politics is also changing. There is a growing need to focus more on comparative analysis of societies, voter values and psychology, and the management of new risks. This study program is oriented toward new trends, providing students with the necessary knowledge while using one of the most innovative teaching methods – challenge-based learning. Students in this program will tackle real challenges and issues faced by society and politics. Therefore, graduates will feel well-prepared for the job market.
Practical Knowledge
Graduates with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences will understand the relationship between the individual, society, and politics, be able to analyze them comprehensively, and possess leadership, teamwork, and communication skills. They will be able to work in strategic departments of business, public administration, and non-governmental organizations, in analytics departments, in organizations providing survey and data analysis services, in the media, create their own businesses related to intellectual services and innovations, and continue their studies in various postgraduate programs.
