Career opportunities

Wide range of work areas
Graduates are welcome in specialised environmental companies, industrial sector, laboratories for studies of environmental quality, companies, which design equipment of pollution reduction, municipal environmental offices, Ministry of Environment, consultancy companies, etc.

_“Environmental issues are relevant to our company; therefore it has established the environmental centre. The industry needs universal specialists, who have knowledge of physics, chemistry and technologies, understanding of operation of the equipment for emissions, waste water, water treatment, comprehend the causality of processes. Our company uses on-line monitoring devices; therefore it is important to have knowledge of data processing. It is very important for the graduates to have a common understanding of the legal system.”_– AB “Achema”, Head of Innovation and Advancement Centre, Andrejus Šostakas.

“The knowledge, acquired during environmental engineering studies, is useful all the time, whether they are in the area of ambient air, waste or waste water treatment technologies. Environmental protection is a very wide area and environment components are closely related – when one of them is impacted, some form of this impact is also transferred to another one. Therefore systematic approach is important for assessment of reasons, consequences, possible technological solutions and required legal regulation of environmental pollution.” – Head of Water Policy Division at the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Lithuania, Irmantas Valūnas.
