Overview

Bachelor in Mechatronics at KTU offers a fusion of skills and knowledge in mechanics, electronics, computer science and programming. Mechatronics combines many technological fields; therefore, the KTU study programme is designed in such a way that it not only focuses on mechanical and electronic parts of the mechanisms but also includes software management skills. Professionals in this field are said to be very versatile; they contribute greatly to the ongoing 4th Industrial Revolution, reducing the need for human manual labour, which is being replaced by robotic and automated devices.

Graduates of the BSc Mechatronics study programme have exceptionally wide career opportunities in the global market: they work in such high-tech sectors as aerospace, biomedicine, they design and manufacture transport and production automation equipment.

After completing this study programme, you will have knowledge of mechanics, control engineering and information technology, you will be able to use this knowledge and skills to develop and implement complex technical systems. Who could be more valuable than a professional possessing such interdisciplinary knowledge?

KTU is a pioneer of the studies in mechatronics in Lithuania and has a long-standing experience in the field
• Open access to a wide range of state-of-the-art educational and research facilities
• Hands-on experience in mechatronics and robotics

Top reasons to study at KTU:

1. KTU has the long-standing experience in this field and offers open access to the most advanced mechatronics laboratories in Lithuania, where the students gain practical skills in mechanical, control and computer engineering.

2. The program provides a broad technical background, which is highly advantageous when opting for further graduate studies in mechatronics, mechanical engineering, control technologies or other related fields.

3. KTU offers a platform for students to participate in ambitious engineering projects aimed at research and development of various innovative technical solutions, for example to grow a plant on the Moon by 2018.
