• Hands-on learning through project activities.
Values
Bidirectional studies:
- Electronics and Electrical Engineering is unique study program that provides knowledge in two fields of engineering – electronics and electrical. The study program provides profound basis of electronics engineering that enables all necessary competencies in the field of electronics and electrical engineering. Graduates of this study programme have great opportunity to deepen their knowledge in Masters’ studies of Electronics Engineering or Electrical Power Engineering.
Design, testing, installation, exploitation:
- Skills and knowledge of engineering basis such as design, testing, installation and exploitation are developed in courses of analogue and digital devices, microprocessors, intelligent electrical systems, electrical systems for smart buildings etc.
The specialization has huge demand in both local and global markets:
- The study programme is popular and well known in EU countries. Bidirectionality of the Electronics and Electrical Engineering increases the employability and attractiveness of graduates in constantly changing labor market. The demand of electronics and electrical engineers is growing rapidly in Lithuania every year. International automotive electronic component manufacturers are active in development, so they relocate their subunits to Lithuania, in purpose to attract young talents with necessary skills and competencies. The demand of qualified electronics and electrical engineers is very high in these companies – they are planning to employ over 700 electronics and electrical engineering specialists by 2022.
Modern innovative laboratories:
- One of the main strengths of study programme is huge diversity of teaching laboratories. By using EU funds, teaching laboratories, where students can carry out their scientific researches of project activities, are constantly renewed with modern and innovative equipment. Modern equipment for teaching laboratories is also sponsored by the global brands and companies such as “Texas Instruments”, “ST Microelectronics”, “Altera” etc.
During the study period, students are involved into the project activities:
- Students are invited to involve into research groups and carry out their researches, designs and projects in laboratories. This scientific environment helps the student to get acquainted with the processes of innovative technical solutions development and improves his practical skills and competences.
Product and service development:
- Are you interested in creating real products and services while studying? It is now possible to test yourself by getting involved in a product development project (PDP). During the project, you will work in teams, collaborating with KTU researchers and social partners. While solving current, relevant problems you will improve your teamwork, project management, and problem-solving skills, deepen professional knowledge and expand your career opportunities.
