KTU is offering the possibility to apply for state-funded study places to all EU nationals and global citizens of Lithuanian origin.

Education is one of the key factors of success when talking about achieving career goals and overall life satisfaction. Top-quality studies without a hefty price tag are even better. Kaunas University of Technology (KTU), Lithuania is offering the possibility to apply for state-funded study places to all EU nationals. Global citizens of Lithuanian origin can also study at KTU for free.

Lithuanians are friendly, open to people from other countries and cultures and willing to integrate them into their circles, thinks Stewen Naano from Estonia, who is graduating from a master’s in mechatronics this summer.

“At first I was more interested in Mechanical Engineering MSc, intrigued by programme curriculum and research possibilities. However, after visiting KTU and getting introduced to mechatronics studies, I changed my mind and am really pleased with the decision. This specialisation broadens the horizons of engineering a lot for me, hence it is more interesting”, says Stewen.

He is impressed by teaching quality and teachers’ competencies, especially those working at KTU Santaka Valley and the Institute of Mechatronics at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Design. The proficiency of teachers and researchers is, according to the freshly graduated engineering master, the strongest side of KTU.

KTU is the 2nd best university in Lithuania, and among the top 50 universities in Eastern and Central Europe and Asia (QS WUR, 2019). The synergy of engineering, natural, social sciences, humanities and arts makes the University’s graduates the sought-after employees in the job market. Innovations created at KTU laboratories by our researchers and students are changing the lives and minds of people.

KTU offers 23 Master’s programmes in English in a variety of fields. With the unique MA+ study model, we are the first in Lithuania to respond to the needs of the new generation, society and job market by providing the opportunity to model your studies the way you want it.

Although global citizens of Lithuanian origin have always had the possibility to apply for state-funded studies, this year KTU opened this possibility to the citizens of all European Union. This means that all the applicants, who are falling into one of the aforementioned categories, will participate in the general admission’s competition for master’s studies and will get the chance to study for free depending on their admission score.
