Interested in studying at KTU? Chat to our students
What qualifications do I need to apply? How much does it cost to live here? What is KTU campus life like? From now on, you can ask all these questions from your peers, fellow students who are currently studying or have been students at Kaunas University of Technology. The peer-to-peer chat is powered by Unibuddy, the dedicated platform helping students make the most important decision in their life.
“Being the owner of a scholarship for free study in Kazakhstan and Turkey, I chose KTU for my bachelor degree because it is a very reputable university focusing on scientific research-based education. The most crucial factor for the university choice was the provision of laboratory equipment – to be a highly qualified chemical engineering specialist it’s necessary to be able to work with professional tools. KTU provides one of the most modern and largest Chemical Engineering laboratories in Europe”, says Assemzhan Kunsakova from Kazakhstan, a second-year student of Chemical Engineering at KTU.
Assemzhan is one of 21 KTU Ambassadors providing online consultations for prospective KTU students. The chat suggestion pops up automatically while you are searching for a study programme that matches your interests on the Admissions section of KTU webpage. You can start chatting to one of KTU ambassadors from the Ambassadors page.
Research shows that chatting with a university student ambassador helps make a more confident and informed decision. Besides, the chat creates a sense of belonging – even before coming to the university you will feel included in the community of your uni buddies.
For Assemzhan, the most exciting moment in her study environment is that her classmates are international students. Before applying to KTU for a full-time study, she has been here with the Erasmus+ exchange. During this short period of time, Assemzhan was impressed by really high-qualified professors; that strengthened her decision to continue her education at KTU.
“I would recommend KTU for the quality of teaching combined with the relaxed and friendly atmosphere”, says Assemzhan.
As an Ambassador and a member of Unibuddy, Assemzhan is happy to have the opportunity to share her unique study journey with potential future students. Moreover, she feels that she is developing her personal and professional skills, such as public speaking, communication, teamwork and networking.
According to KTU Ambassador from Kazakhstan, the potential students usually ask about student life and admission requirements.
“If we get questions which we are not able to answer, we forward them to the coordinators of the International Study Office who are happy to help. I can totally say that being an Ambassador is a pleasure and a great experience”, says Assemzhan.
