“We are starting the admission by expanding the choice of study for international students. Nine new bachelor’s and master’s programmes were added to the portfolio of study programmes taught in English at KTU. We thus hope that everyone can find one that suits them,” says Audronė Račkauskienė, Head of the International Studies Office.
Numerous possibilities to study and do internships abroad, hands-on experience in using the latest software, doing research in the Kaunas University of Technology with high-end laboratory equipment, practical education, and a safe and calm city full of students – these are but a few advantages of studying in KTU according to our students.
Carlos Sosa Henríquez KTU student from Spain
“After graduating from mechanical engineering in Spain, I contacted many universities in Europe looking for a master’s. From the first contact, KTU seemed the most professional in the way they were communicating with international applicants,” says Sosa Henríquez from Gran Canaria, studying aeronautical engineering masters.
Being from Spain, Carlos could opt for a tuition-free education as an EU citizen. Besides, the University offers tuition fee waivers and scholarships for international students, and there are plenty of opportunities to get a scholarship once you already are enrolled.
Alejandra Gutierrez Luna from Nicaragua says that it took her half a year to find the best option for architecture studies – for her, the key aspects were the time frame and hands-on experience.
“As soon as I saw that KTU has an integrated degree – five years for both bachelor’s and master’s – I thought it was perfect for me. Plus, I wanted to be in a place where I could be exposed to the field right away, where I could master the newest technology,” says Gutierrez Luna.
Alejandra Gutierrez Luna, a KTU architecture student from Nicaragua enjoys living in Kaunas.
Alejandra is very happy that KTU is very affordable, and all the facilities are comfortable and close by. However, the essential advantage of KTU is its study quality and dynamic teaching methods – the lectures are interactive, site trips are allowing the students to be exposed to the field organised and the teachers are very helpful.
In QS Emerging Europe and Central Asia (QS EECA) Rankings 2022, KTU is among the 55 best universities in emerging Europe and Central Asia. According to QS Graduate Employability Rankings 2022, the cooperation between the students and employers – the number of companies involved in the study process, and the opportunities provided for the talented students – is very highly ranked. According to this criterion, KTU is the 181st in the world.
KTU offers 23 Bachelor’s and 28 Master’s in English in a variety of fields – from social sciences, humanities and arts to informatics.
